Composite is what we recommend for most of this island — Graber builds it to resist moisture, so it won’t fade, crack, peel or warp, and it handles bathrooms, kitchens and anywhere open to a lanai. Hardwood is the right call for interior rooms away from moisture where you want visible grain. Louvers come in 2½”, 3½” and 4½”; the 3½” is what we fit most often, and the 4½” gives you the most view through the window when the louvers are open.
